Don’t know what to teach after AP TESTING?

Here are a couple of simple ideas:

Cultural Exploration: Organize a cultural exploration day where students delve deeper into the culture of Spanish-speaking countries. This could involve watching documentaries, reading articles, or listening to music related to various aspects of Hispanic culture, such as art, history, cuisine, or traditions.  Take them on a Virtual Field trip.

Conversation Café: Create a relaxed and informal setting where students can engage in conversations entirely in Spanish. Provide prompts or discussion topics related to current events, personal experiences, or favorite hobbies. This allows students to practice their speaking and listening skills in a supportive environment.

Creative Writing Workshop: Host a creative writing workshop where students can unleash their creativity through writing prompts or storytelling activities. Encourage them to write short stories, poems, or essays in Spanish, exploring different genres and styles of writing.

Cinema Day: Dedicate a day to watching Spanish-language films or documentaries. Choose a selection of movies that align with students’ interests and proficiency levels, and provide opportunities for discussion and reflection afterward. You can also incorporate activities such as movie reviews or character analyses. Use this template to go with any film:

Language Games: Have fun with language games that reinforce vocabulary, grammar, and cultural knowledge. You can play games like Pictionary, charades, Spanish Scrabble, or trivia quizzes with a focus on Spanish-speaking countries’ geography, history, and culture.

Cooking Class: Bring the flavors of Spanish-speaking countries into the classroom with a cooking class. Choose simple recipes for traditional dishes or snacks from different regions, and guide students through the cooking process while practicing vocabulary related to ingredients, cooking techniques, and kitchen utensils. Afterward, students can enjoy the fruits of their labor together.

Grammar Practice: A great to touch up on Grammar. Make it fun by playing some games!

Art Unit: Include that Art Unit you always wanted to have time for! Here’s an example.
