There is no better way to get your child speaking in another language than to practice speaking in the Target Language. I came up with picture talk to get students to speak about things they see. I also created guided questions to facilitate observation and to motivate students to talk about anything they are seeing. Sometimes students will have to look up certain words, but it is all part of the process. This activity has been a hit in my classes, and I get some very interesting responses. My students are more motivated to speak in the TL when I have them respond to questions about any image given. I have used only images that I have copyrights to for this project.
