Daily Hispanic Leaders Spotlight: Feature a different influential Hispanic leader each day. Including historical figures, activists, artists, and modern-day influencers.

I wanted to do something different than the norm, but wanted to incorporate tradition into my work. I created these Loteria Style Posters for students to color and present.

Hispanic Culture Trivia: Create daily or weekly trivia questions related to Hispanic history, geography, and culture. This can be done in class or as interactive content on social media.

Spanish Language Challenges: Encourage students or followers to learn a new Spanish word or phrase each day, focusing on terms that are culturally significant.

I created this for teachers that are looking to do something different and want an overview of many important aspects of our culture.

Book & Movie Recommendations: Curate a list of books, movies, and documentaries that celebrate Hispanic culture. Consider featuring works by Hispanic authors and filmmakers. Have students bring in art work, movies, pictures or items they feel represent a celebration of the Hispanic Community.

Cultural Facts: Share interesting facts about Hispanic history and culture on Instagram or Facebook, along with vibrant images or videos.

Bring in a speaker- Know an author, entrepreneur, a business, artist, activist?  Have them come into your classroom to share their experience as a Hispanic in the professional world.

Creative Writing Workshop: Conduct a creative writing workshop where students write short stories or essays inspired by Hispanic culture, traditions, or history. If students come from a Hispanic background they can write about their family traditions. If students are not they can research traditions or write about the times they have been invited to any Hispanic celebration.

Student -Led Generated t: Encourage followers or students to share how they celebrate their heritage or what Hispanic Heritage Month. Have students answer out loud, and if they have never celebrated this month ask them how they think they could start celebrating.

Coloring Murals- Don’t have too much time to teach? Have students collaborative with this Free Poster I am sharing. You can also print my pre-made design into a poster.

Cultural Fair: Organize a cultural fair with booths representing different Hispanic countries, featuring food, crafts, music, and dance. Have you ever hosted a World Cultures Day? Maybe you can do the same but for Hispanic countries and have a smaller setup in your classroom, library or hall.

Lastly, if you are looking for the traditional fill-in the template I have created these templates that also include a Review Game!

Daily TRIVIA: Try to provide fun, interesting and not your typical facts. Here are some ideas of facts I like to share on my Social media handles and with students:

Other Ideas:

Talk about a different country every other day in order to expose students to different Spanish Speaking Countries. Relate to students by doing a read and color activity , or have them participate in an escape room.
